Laundry Day

So I hate folding laundry. I really don't mind washing or drying the laundry, but I really, really, hate folding it and putting it away. More often than not my laundry will stay in the clothes hamper until I need to put it on, then it will be transfered to the dirty clothes hamper without ever seeing the inside of the dresser. I don't know where this aversion came from, but it is there. We have machines to wash and dry the cloths, so why not have one that folds them too???

Hey hire a munchkin like Mikayla. She can fold for you on saturdays for a dollar!

I TOTALLY Agree with you, I don't mind switching them between washer and dryer, but when it comes to hauling it upstairs, folding, hanging and putting it away (only to have the kids pull it all out of the closets ten minutes later).. is really frustrating. That's why it just lays all over our bedroom floor and we pick out our outfits from the laundry baskets... then it's time to wash it again. sigh... :)

Hey Trudy! I found you on the PHS blog. Funny you should write about laundry today. I wrote about it, too. I have to agree that laundry (and folding, and ironing) are not exactly my favorite things to do, though it's gotten better now that my husband says home with our son so I can take it to the laundromat myself. Anyhow, fun to find you online!

Hey Trudy, so good to hear from you! You look great. I completely agree. I don't even mind folding our laundry--it's the putting it all away that gets me. Usually I'll stack it on our bed thinking I'll put it away later. But by the time we're ready to hit the sack, I'm exhausted and just push all of our clothes onto the floor. There it gets tangled up with all the dirty stuff, and basically just goes back into the hamper to be washed AGAIN because I'm not sure what's what anymore. ARGH!

OK I feel like the odd woman out here....I LOVE folding laundry. I mean what other time during cleaning your house do you get to sit on your butt and watch t.v? But I DO hate ironing. Why? Because I must stand. See how lazy I am?
